Wow! Great Course

Your outdoor writing course was by far one of the best things I have ever done. From a financial standpoint the course info said students could earn their tuition back during the two years it would likely take them to finish. I did it in the first three months.
If I can do that, anyone can. By the time I had finished the course I was on such good terms with the editors of three major magazines in the US that they were asking me for articles. That has continued and grown.
One of the many things Roger’s course does is teach you what editors want and how to present it to them. I can't imagine how hard it would be to do this on your own.
I go back over the course material whenever I need to and it has never failed to answer any question I might have. The best compliment I have ever received in my short writing career came from the editor of Bowhunter magazine. He had accepted the first query I sent and when I sent him the manuscript package he said it was put together better than those he gets from some of the biggest names in outdoor writing. I had followed Roge’rs instructions to a T.
My outdoor articles have had an unexpected impact in my guiding business as well. We have really noticed an increase in bookings over the last year. Most of these clients came to know me through my articles. Anyone wanting to learn the outdoor writing business simply must take this course.
All the best

It's amazing how quickly life moves along

Dear Roger:

Well Roger, here it is 2014; where have the years gone? It's amazing how quickly life moves along, but at the same time how much living we can get in if we choose. One of the best things I ever did though was take the time to take your course, as the skills I learned there have opened up so many interesting doors for me.

Along with my regular gig as a columnist for Alberta Outdoorsmen and the Alberta Trapper magazine I've had the pleasure of working along with some of the best writers in Wildlife cinematography in the world. Through our company, Compass Media Inc, I've collaborated with folks from National Geographic, The Nature of Things, CBC, & the BBC, amongst others. I've also been able to utilize the skills I learned under your tutelage to suport conservation causes I'm passionate about. Using those skills has allowed me to work with the communication departments of organizations like the Alberta Conservation Association and the Rocky Mountain Wilderness Society to effectively communicate our message.

The world is becoming a digitial landscape Roger but there will never be an on-line replacement for the guidance and mentorship you've provided me over the years. Thanks.

Best Regards

I just wanted to write and say "THANK YOU"

Hi Roger:
I just wanted to write and say "THANK YOU" for the Outdoor Writers Course that I took with your school in 2004-2005.
The course has allowed me to pursue my dream of becoming an outdoor writer, step-by-step. I started out "paying my dues" by writing for local and regional publications, and now write for national publications such as Trapper and Predator Caller magazine, and The American Trapper magazine.
Due to my full-time job as a Safety Office, I don't write as much as I would like since I've been out here in Arizona on a project, but I plan to do more once I finish here.
I really enjoy the outdoors. Having learned how to share that experience through writing and photography enhances that experience ten-fold.
Thank you again for a great course!
